MISSIONS

Why missions?

The very last thing Jesus said on this earth was to his disciples, and it was this. “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20, MEV).

Jesus stressed the importance of making people from every single nation followers of Him, and that’s exactly what happens in the book of Acts. Men such as Peter, Paul, and Barnabas took the Good News of Jesus to people from every nation, tribe, and tongue. Here at CrossRoads, we want to see this mission continued — people from every nation becoming disciples of Jesus Christ. However, this mission is for from complete. Over 7,000 people groups remain unreached which means that there is little to no Gospel witness in these groups (representing roughly 3 billion people).

Through partnering with other followers of Jesus and sending out followers from CrossRoads, our desire is to see those people groups reached with the Good News of Jesus. We want to obey the command given to us by Jesus, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.”
