Missions
A Message from Our Pastor
Missions outreach is not just something we do - it is the heartbeat of our church! Currently, we support 85 missionary projects around the world with a missions budget of over $279,000.
We recently helped one of our own missionary families in Brazil purchase a new building. In one Sunday, God allowed our church family to give almost $40,000 towards this project. We praise God for the tender hearts of our people towards missions.
Our church is totally committed to helping build bridges around the world to reach those who are lost and without Jesus Christ. Jesus came into the world to save sinners (I Timothy 1:15).
Missions is God's heartbeat - Our heartbeat!

UPDATED AUGUST 2010
We had been going strong since the very first Sunday in January and it was time to take a break. While home, we were able to have our official garage sale. It was pretty exciting to reach this point of the whole “preparing to move process”, but it was even more exciting to be done with it! Thank you for those who prayed for the success of the sale. It was amazing to watch God work in bringing the people to purchase our stuff. It was even more amazing to see how evangelistic a garage sale can be!
Several years ago, a family moved in next door to us and since that time we have tried on a few occasions to reach them for Christ. The night before the sale, the wife came over and wanted to see all that we were selling. Saturday afternoon she came back again and brought her son and his girlfriend. Richie had already given a tract to the mom and she was very receptive, so he decided to use the opportunity to share the Gospel. The girlfriend was very interested and allowed him to walk her through the plan of salvation. After hearing the Gospel, Melanie prayed to receive Jesus as her Savior! Afterwards, we gave her a Bible. They say that at a garage sale one person’s junk is another person’s treasure. Melanie came looking for junk and she left with Jesus, truly a treasure! Glory to God!
During the month of July we were able to experience a few other blessings. On a Sunday morning at Cherry Street Baptist Church , a young girl named Hannah came forward to make public that she got saved at camp. The neat thing about this is that we were able to reach her mom a couple of years ago while we were on staff at Cherry Street and now both of her kids are saved as well. We also heard that two precious people, who we were blessed to minister to when we taught 3rd and 4th grade Sunday school at Park Street Baptist Church in St. Petersburg , Florida , recently surrendered their lives at teen camp to serve the Lord. Please pray for Kevin and Allison as they seek the Lord’s leading. Praise the Lord!
Prayer Needs: Our RV is in the shop having some financially significant repairs being done. Please pray for it to be finished in a timely fashion. We start traveling the first Sunday in August and don’t stop until Thanksgiving. Pray that we reach 100% of our support level coming in. Please pray for these next few and final months to be very fruitful, both spiritually and financially.
Serving Our Savior Together,
Richie, Missy, Briton and Isabella Orrick
